BUTTERFEST

BUTTERFEST is our annual rock concert where our Buttery family, from 5 to 1000 years old, take the stage to perform songs they've worked on this year. It’s a day full of over 50 performances, good food, bar, temp tattoo station, big raffle prizes, and a million other cool things. For the performers it's a true gig experience complete with artist lanyards, green room, photoshoots, and signing the annual Buttery skateboard donated by the legends at Parliament Skate Shop.

Everyone is invited to come along, you do not need to be a member of The Buttery to come and soak up the day! Butterfest takes place in the September school holidays, and is getting bigger and more amazing every year.

BUTTERFEST 2025

  • Date: Sunday 21st September 2025

  • Time:

    • Kids and teens session 1 - 4(ish)pm

    • Teens and adults session 5 - 8(ish)pm

    • We have a large number of performers so I do believe we are likely to go a little over time.

  • Audience tickets: Click here to purchase tickets!

    • Performers and kids under 5 enter for free

    • No need to be a member of The Buttery to soak up the day, we would love to see you there!

    • All ticket sales go towards funding the event (venue hire, paying for production and Buttery teachers, etc)

  • Parking:

    • The Triffid recommends ditching the car and catching public transport but if you’re driving, there’s limited street parking around Newstead or you can pay for parking at the Gasworks Plaza or search for other paid carparks beforehand here.

Please note we have had a large influx of performers this year, so both sessions may run a little overtime. With this in mind, please ensure you are ready for a fast change over, which means you’re ready to rock n roll with your guitar all tuned up, so you can jump on stage, instantly rock your song, and jump straight back into the greenroom afterwards.

Toilets:
• There are gendered toilets (men / women) located to the left of the stage in the beer garden, up a small flight of 2 or 3 steps.
• Straight through the big doors across from where you first enter, you’ll find accessible gendered toilets.
• About 10 m past the entrance (to your right), there’s an all-gender and disabled toilet. We know it’s not ideal for this to be the only all-gender option, and we’re sorry to our non-binary and trans fam. We’re working on making things even more inclusive next year.
